Mar.1934 Naigai Steel Works, Ltd. was founded in Tokyo for rolling and making steel.
Dec.1940 A new factory was constructed in Chiba, Japan for the manufacture of various tools and precision parts for automobiles, airplanes, etc.
Aug.1945 Steelworks activities were done away with in order to focus on the manufacture of precision parts for automobiles at the factory in Chiba.
Mar.1963 Began developing labor saving equipment.
Nov.1964 First automatic strapping machine developed and sold under the “band-A-matic”brand.
May.1967 Began exporting automatic strapping machines.
Nov.1972 First in the world to apply electronic controlled technology to automatic strapping machines.
Apr.1977 Naigai Steel Works, Ltd. was separated and Naigai, Ltd. was established to concentrate on the manufacturing of strapping machines.
Jul.1977 A new factory was constructed in the Shibayama Industrial Park in Chiba for the manufacture of strapping machines.
Jul.1978 A merger with Band-A-Matic System Service, Ltd., the sole agent for band-A-matic strapping machines in the domestic market, created a reliable sales and manufacturing system and established Naigai's position in the strapping machine industry.
Oct.1978 Model U61, a completely redesigned automatic strapping machine, and model U70, a new semi-automatic strapping machine, were introduced.
Oct.1982 Model U81 was completed and greatly admired for its good design and reliable function.
Oct.1984 Model U81 was the first packaging machine in the industry to receive a good design award from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry.
Jan.1986 Equipped with LSI(large-scale integration), the “F”” series of automatic strapping machines is launched.
Aug.1987 Equipped with LSI, F112 fully automatic strapping machine was introduced for use in automatic lines.
Jan.1990 Large sized strapping machines such as F117 and F118 were introduced for strapping palletized goods.
Mar.1992 A new compact body strapping machine, called model F31, was added to the “F” series of machines.
Dec.1992 Model F11 was added to the “F” series of strapping machines.
Sep.1993 For disposing of wast strap, model FAS-91 strap shredder was introduced.
Nov.1995 A general purpose machine with superior quality and low price, model F51 was developed.
Apr.1996 Model F20E semi-automatic strapping machine was introduced as the lighter type of model F20.
Apr.1997 Model F61 film taping machine was developed and introduced to the market.
Jun.1997 Naigai's Shibayama factory was approved for ISO9002, an internationally accepted quality management regulation, by TUV in Germany. It was the first factory in the Japanese strapping machine industry to receive such approval.
Dec.1997 A tabletop film taping machine, called model F61JP, and a tabletop kraft taping machine, called model F61JK were simultaneously introduced.
Oct.1998 A new general purpose strapping machine, model 7110 was introduced at Tokyo Pack 1998. Model 7110 was highly praised for its good design, easy use and safety. Also, Naigai received another good design award for model 7110.
Nov.1998 711L low table type automatic strapping machine and 711A fully automatic strapping machine were introduced.
Oct.2000 Model 711J compact type automatic strapping machine was introduced.
Dec.2001 F117K II fully automatic strapping machine for strapping palletized goods was introduced.
Oct.2004 New type model 8110 automatic film taping machine was introduced as well as “Pure Tape” which is PP film tape for this model.
